A Virginia Beach man is dead following a Halloween evening crash involving an electric dirt bike on Cypress Avenue.
It happened around 6:00 p.m. on October 31, when Virginia Beach Police were called to the 1000 block of Cypress Road for a single-vehicle accident. Officers say 47-year-old David German was riding northbound on an e-vehicle—described as a dirt bike—when he left the road and hit a light pole.
German was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.
The department’s Traffic Safety Unit is still investigating what led to the crash. Police are asking anyone who saw what happened or has information to call them at (757) 385-4606.
