Virginia Beach Man Arrested in Child Exploitation Investigation

A Virginia Beach man is facing serious charges after police say they found child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices.

On January 22, Virginia Beach Police responded to a tip about possible child exploitation. The case was quickly handed off to detectives with the department’s Special Investigations Bureau. Their investigation led them to 47-year-old Timothy Ian Juda, a local resident.

Detectives got a search warrant and combed through Juda’s electronic devices. What they found, according to police, were numerous files containing child sexual abuse material.

Less than a week later, on January 27, detectives with VBPD’s Fugitive Apprehension Squad arrested Juda. He’s now facing ten felony counts for distributing child pornography.

The case is still under investigation. Police are asking anyone who may have more information to call them at (757) 385-4101, or report anonymously to Crime Solvers at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or P3Tips.com.
