On July 14, 2025, VBPD has continued to investigate the incident leading to the death of Jamie Bills (M/51) of Virginia Beach on March 2, 2025.
As a result of the VBPD’s investigation and with assistance from the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, the following charges were obtained by direct indictment on July 7, 2025:
- John Round III (M/60) of Chesapeake: Involuntary Manslaughter and Assault and Battery
- Sridaharan Sangaran (M/55) of Virginia Beach: Malicious Wounding, Attempted Malicious Wounding, and two counts of Assault and Battery
