Virginia Beach police say a suspected illegal marijuana distribution operation in a quiet residential neighborhood has been shut down.
On February 20, 2026, the Virginia Beach Police Department’s First Precinct Crime Suppression Squad, along with additional suppression teams, carried
out a search warrant in the 700 block of Seahawk Circle. Investigators had been watching the property, suspecting it was being used to sell marijuana illegally.
During the search, officers arrested 39-year-old Timothy Bruce Reagan Jr. of Virginia Beach.
Detectives say they recovered approximately 11 pounds of marijuana, five ounces of psilocybin mushrooms, THC gummy products, and a large quantity of THC wax. A firearm was also seized from the home.
Police have charged Reagan with:
-
Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I/II controlled substance
-
Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
-
Possession of a firearm while in possession of controlled substances
For neighbors in the Seahawk Circle area, the raid likely came as a surprise. The neighborhood is primarily residential — not the kind of place where residents expect large-scale drug distribution operations.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Virginia Beach Police Department at (757) 385-4377.
As this case moves forward, it raises familiar questions about enforcement, marijuana laws, and how illegal distribution networks continue to operate even as Virginia’s cannabis laws evolve. Police say efforts like this are aimed at curbing unlicensed sales and keeping firearms out of drug-related activity.
We’ll continue to follow developments as more details become available.
