A Norfolk resident, Adam Donley Greenberg, also known as Adam Brandon, 39, will spend the next five years in prison after being convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Court documents reveal that Greenberg played a central role in a drug trafficking operation that ran from June 2020 to January 2021. Greenberg obtained methamphetamine from Michael Wade Kozak, 57, based in the Atlanta area. Kozak shipped meth to Greenberg via FedEx, and Greenberg used Cash App and other methods to pay for the drugs.
The two coordinated shipments and payments through a social media app. On November 11, 2020, Greenberg received a meth package from Kozak at a Norfolk apartment. Just three days later, Chesapeake narcotics detectives apprehended Greenberg at a Norfolk hotel room while serving an outstanding warrant.
Inside room 616, officers uncovered 85.24 grams of meth hidden behind a wall painting.
This case highlights the collaboration between law enforcement agencies to crack down on the flow of methamphetamine into Virginia communities.
