On December 13, 2023, a significant drug bust took place in Norfolk, Virginia, leading to the arrest and subsequent sentencing of 48-year-old Felisha Alexander, also known as “Fe.” She received a 14-year and six-month federal prison sentence for her involvement in fentanyl trafficking.
The operation began when Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) intercepted a parcel containing one pound of cocaine sent from Chula Vista, California, to a Norfolk address. During a controlled delivery, a co-conspirator retrieved the package but, upon noticing law enforcement surveillance, discarded it from the vehicle.
Investigators observed Alexander recording the arrest of this co-conspirator. Shortly after, she was seen leaving her residence with another individual who placed a backpack into a car parked outside. A search, prompted by a canine alert and conducted with consent, revealed the backpack contained approximately 1,779 grams of a mixture of para-fluorofentanyl and fentanyl, along with 2,815 counterfeit fentanyl pills designed to resemble legitimate medication.
Further investigation of Alexander’s home uncovered numerous parcel tracking receipts, a loaded handgun, and around $82,000 in cash. Cellphone data revealed communications coordinating drug shipments and distribution, as well as photos depicting large quantities of suspected methamphetamine, heroin, and cash.
This case underscores the ongoing battle against opioid trafficking in Norfolk and highlights the persistent efforts of law enforcement to combat the distribution of dangerous substances in the community.
