The Hampton Police Division is investigating a fatal vehicle/motorcycle crash that occurred on January 30, 2024.
At approximately 6:58 p.m., Public Safety Communications received a call in reference to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Neil Armstrong Parkway and Nettles Lane. Upon arrival, officers observed a motorcycle and pick-up truck had been involved in a crash and one adult male unresponsive on scene. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Neil Armstrong Parkway when it collided with a pick-up truck traveling westbound off of Nettles Lane. The driver of the pick-up truck remained on scene and is cooperative with the investigation. This incident remains under investigation by members of the Hampton Division Accident Reconstruction Team.
