HAMPTON, Va. — Police are investigating a stabbing that happened in the early hours of April 14, and so far, there are more questions than answers.
Officers were called out around 3:14 a.m. to the first block of Langley Avenue after a report came in about a stabbing. When they arrived, they found an adult woman with injuries. Authorities say those injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Fire and rescue crews also responded and took the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment.
At this point, investigators say the victim has provided only limited information about what led up to the incident. That’s slowing down efforts to piece together exactly what happened in those early morning hours.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen something—or knows anything—to come forward.
You can contact the Hampton Police Division directly at 757-727-6111. If you’d rather stay anonymous, tips can be submitted through the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or online at P3Tips.com. Authorities say tipsters who remain anonymous could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,500 if their information leads to an arrest.
For now, investigators are continuing to canvass the area and follow up on any leads as they try to understand what unfolded on Langley Avenue.
